The latest trailer for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks reveal that death becomes Princess Zelda at the beginning of the game. That's not the end for the Princess though, as her spirit is set to accompany you throughout the entire game in the form of the Phantom. The armoured phantom is used to help you through obstacles and puzzles, as well as an added combat option.

This is the first game that Zelda actually joins you to help you throughout the adventure. The impressions from the trailer show that she'll often come out of the armour to join you in ghost form at times. I expect by the time the game ends she'll be alive and well again. No doubt that's one of the main quests of Spirit Tracks - Revive Princess Zelda.

Not long to wait now. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is due out for DS in the UK on 11th December.
