What's New In Downloads?

This weeks downloads see the introduction of a few 'big-name' titles available for a journey through our shiny white home hub. Along with these come a number of affordable games so no matter how your Christmas saving scheme is going, you could be able to give your self a console treat this week. So if you're a fan of clay-mation, ghost busting or manic monkeys then read on because your void is about to be filled. It could be argued that the biggest release of the week takes centre stage on the PSP with Ghostbusters but we also have the latest adventure in the Star Wars series to compete on the console too. How will out wallets cope?! One thing we do know is who we're gonna' call to investigate the mysterious disappearance of our funds.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (PSP)

PS3 and 2 fans were the lucky ones when it was announced they would receive the much-hyped console game of the Ghostbusters a whole 5 months before any other consoles. Meanwhile everyone else was left having to sit back, relax and stop themselves running to the nearest console shop and picking up one Sony's matt black box's. The game features elements from the two classic movies featuring the ghoul bashing boys in which you play as 'The Rookie'. The Rookie is a new recruit and as him you have to prove your worth in the ghostbusting ranks in order to earn a permanent place in the exclusive group. The PS3 version of the game was well received around the world and there is no reason to suggest why this one won't be. It is available from the Playstation Network now for £16.99

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (PSP)

Ahh, our favourite hand held Star Wars adventure returns in what is considered as the sequel to Renegade Squadron. In the game you play as a Clone Trooper called X2 who's origins stem from the DNA of a Jedi Master. Your task is to hunt Jedi along with your clone brother, the imaginatively named X1. However a choice to betray the Empire and join the Rebellion leads him to fight his way through all the adventures of the Star Wars saga. This game features 12 levels and the game takes a the form of an action-adventure game. It is available from the Playstation Network now and costs £31.99.

Wallace And Gromit Episodes 2-4 (Xbox Live Arcade)

"The Last Resort", "Muzzled!" and "The Bogey Man" episodes of Wallace And Gromit's interactive adventures can now be downloaded individually on the Xbox Live Arcade. Each of them sees you making choices throughout the story in order to come to a conclusion at the end of it.
